BIMMS platform, last developments

The tested version of BIMMS platform has been delivered in M30. The tested version of the BIMMS offers a set of functionalities that meet the stakeholders’ needs during the renovation work. The tested workflows demonstrate that the BIMMS can integrate tools and enable the data interoperability through data exchange services. The proposed implementation can prevent some bottleneck tasks (i.e. the export, upload, download, and import cycle) used in the traditional file exchange to improve the time and cost reduction. Moreover, the BIMMS’ CDE includes some functionalities to support the Linked Data that allow users to define and retrieve resources exploiting the richness of the Semantic Web.

According to the European Commission, we consider Open Science for sharing - in an open and transparent way - methodologies, knowledge, processes and tools, from the earliest stages of the scientific discovery process, and reliability and public reusability of scientific data and research products, public accessibility and transparency of scientific communication processes. For this reason in April 2021, BIM4EEB has joined the Zenodo community.

The General Assembly has been followed by several technical sessions. The first one regarding objectives and achievements of the next months; technical session regarding topics like toolkits, topics and several opportunities that the project is facing.
