eClass in Dresden

Fri, 1 March 2019
Approx. 85 interested participants from economy and science have attended at the eCl@ss information day last Spring in Dresden.
Main focus was on the topics eCl@ss and semantic function descriptions in the light of digitization, automation and standardization.

At the second day of the workshop  the eCl@ss CAx specialist group met further interests. As the result of this workshop a eCl@ss working group "functions" was set up. The goal of this group is to describe characteristics, properties, features and values of automation functions semantically in eCl@ss. Main focus lies on the modelling of functions and their interfaces with several practically relevant examples in five ad-hoc groups which were formed from the attendees of the workshop.

Referent for the first day were
Mr. Kevin Behnisch - Detusche Kommission Elektrotechnik (German commission on electrical engineering)
Ms. Tanja Berger - Siemens AG Energy Management
Dr. Oliver Drumm - Siemens AG Process Industries, Drives
Prof. Dr. Klaus Kabitzsch - TU Dresden
Dr. Björn Korff - AmpereSoft GmbH
Mr. Josef Schmelter - Phoenix Contact GmbH
Mr. Karsten Spiess - Pit-cup GmbH
