Thu, 30 July 2020
The six BIM-based tools encompass the BIM4EEB Fast Mapping toolkit, BIM4EEB BIMeaser, BIM4Occupants, BIM4EEB BIMcpd, BIM4EEB AUTERAS and BIMplanner
Each tool is developed to facilitate activities performed during each building renovation phases: the information acquisition for existing buildings, the design phase, the construction/refurbishment and the in-use phase. In the information acquisition phase, the BIM4EEB Fast Mapping toolkit speeds-up the scan-to-BIM process by using Augmented Reality (AR)and a sensor stick
In the design phase, the BIM4EEB BIMeaser facilitates the simulation and comparison between different design options regarding several variables, such as energy consumption and indoor comfort. The BIM4EEBBIMcpd and AUTERAS optimise the HVAC system design as part of the Building Automation Control System. In the renovation phase, the BIMplanner facilitates the scheduling of renovation activities for all professionals, residents and owners involved in the renovation. And finally, along the renovation and operation phase, the BIM4Occupants informs in a simple and clear way about the building renovation activities.
Residents can also follow health and safety instructions. Additionally, BIM4Occupants provides information about indoor conditions, comfort preferences, and energy consumption in a friendly and easy to understand way.The BIMMS and the tools are designed to support the architects, designers, civil engineers, building services engineers, energy performance designers, owners, occupants and facility managers throughout the building design, the renovation process and beyond.
