The BIM4EEB BIMeaser tool stands for BIM Early Stage Energy Scenario tool. The tool is designed to support the decision-making process in the early design stage of the renovation process. The tool allows the assessment of several energy refurbishment design options enabling architects, engineers to provide solutions that best fit to the client requirements while optimising the energy use and the indoor comfort for the occupants.

BIMeaser enhances the functionalities of the existing sophisticated energy simulator by using the BIM and linked data from the BIM4EEB BIMMS to enable faster initialisation of the actual state of the refurbished building resulting in more accurate modelling.

The tool facilitates the indoor climate and energy design providing a collaborative environment in order to speed up this multidisciplinary process during the design stages. As a result, the tool provides a comparative table on the different building renovation options in which aspects such as operational energy cost, payback time of renovation, summer thermal comfort can be considered and validated in line with the Owner's Project Requirement.

This tool is available in the BIM4EEB BIMMS.
