SOLINTEL is a Spanish SME active in key areas of the interconnected building-energy value chain with more than two decades of experience in the construction and energy sectors. The company combines engineering and consultancy services with their own building and energy projects, acting as investor and/or developer.
SOLINTEL focuses its activities on the three main pillars. Firstly, it provides building consultancy and engineering services with a focus on simulation, monitoring and control of energy systems and the integration of RES, new materials and new technologies in buildings providing assistance to all stakeholders involved in the construction and energy markets such as real estate investors, utilities, private communities of residential properties and financial entities. Furthermore, SOLINTEL also supports companies to guarantee the right alignment between new technologies and business strategies in the building-energy value chain, promoting the creation of value in traditional markets with the planning of optimized market strategies, assistance in business development and assessing strategic investments. Finally, the company is also active as the developer and investor for its own building renovation projects. Currently SOLINTEL is involved in residential retrofitting projects in Valencia, Colombia and Brazil and a 32 dwelling project under LEED certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) process.

There are four main actors from SOLINTEL working on BIM4EEB:
Hugo Grasset, Project Manager at SOLINTEL, holds a Master´s degree in economics and management from the University of Zurich.
Michele Vavallo, R&D Manager at SOLINTEL, graduated as an Environmental Engineer from Universitá degli studi della Basilicata (Italy) while also holding a Master’s degree in Industrial Energy Auditing by the Polytechnic University of Madrid (Spain) and a Master’s degree in Energy Technology and Efficiency for Sustainable Development by Universidad Politecnica de Valencia (Spain).
Miguel Angel Gomez, who oversees operations and has extensive experience in EU research projects, graduated as a Civil Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid Spain.
Antonio Mingo, who oversees internal as well as third party building renovation projects, graduated as a
Forestry Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid Spain.
Our main work in BIM4EEB is to implement the right processes and tools ensuring that the concepts, scientific results, tools and methodologies developed over the course of the project can become successful commercial applications, inputs to further research, or policy-making insights. This implies aligning project outputs with the external business environment and standards identifying market needs for product or service alignment, monitoring technologies, implementing needed contingency plans for adaptation, capturing IP value while at the same time establishing the internal structure of the consortium for instance in terms of access and ownership rights to eliminate any source of IP conflicts in future commercial, academic or research applications as well as overseeing market deployment strategies.

Our main goal in the project is to secure growth for the involved partners and transfer the technologies presented in the project into business value while also safeguarding potential for further research, aligned and contributing towards sustainable development goals.
